I thought I’d post a quick update on what is currently happening with me and posts to my Blog. It is a short story really. I live in a town which is a massive tourist destination during the holiday season – especially at this time of year. What this means for me – being reliant on wireless access to the Internet – is real difficulty gaining Internet access. There are so many people in the area, using so many gadgets and the like, that the Internet is locked into a constant traffic jam. It is practically impossible to get Internet access most of the time. You do get the odd time where you can get access, but it is so slow that it is pointless to try and use it. For example – it takes minutes and minutes just for one page of the Blog to load.
I’ll keep trying to access the Net every so often, but it is likely I’ll be unable to post much for the next couple of weeks. There is good news – the number of tourists in the shopping centre here have diminished, which probably means we are heading back to some form of normality.
Well, it’s that time of month when I’m struggling with bandwidth. The last couple of months have been good, but I’m about to crash and burn with the amount of available bandwidth that I have. I have been trying to get enough Blog posts ready for every day until my total allowable bandwidth is renewed (next Monday). However, I’m not going to quite make it. The very slow download speed makes it virtually impossible to achieve anything. So I expect I’ll be offline quite a lot.
Today was another largely wet and miserable day here, along with the winds. So there wasn’t a lot to do, just a bit of this and a bit of that. I watched the last Jason Bourne movie, as well as read some more of the first Bourne novel. I got a lot done in Blogosphere, so that was pretty good too.
I did get out for a short time and managed to get my hair cut. I get it cut where I work, which is pretty good. Not there is a whole lot of cutting going on these days lol. There are all the usual jokes about it being over in a matter of seconds, charging a searcher’s fee and so on. I sometimes harass the clients a bit and threaten them with cutting their hair instead of the usual hairdresser – I’m in training to take over the business, that sort of thing.
So the picture shows the haircut – maybe you can make it out. Certainly not my best picture that’s for sure. lol.
