Interesting how on this day I post about birthday ecards and the like – anyhow, I thought I’d post about a link to do with birthdays today. Birthday Alarm is an online ecard site, with hundreds of cards for many different occasions. So if you like to send these for various events, Birthday Alarm may well be worth checking out.

Boomerang for Gmail is a Firefox and Chrome plugin for Gmail. It allows a Gmail user to take control of when they send/receive emails. It is currently available by invitation only – however you can apply for an invitation.

This is a web application with a difference. If you are keen on strange applications or the slightly bizzare, perhaps this one is for you. With privote you can create a note and get a link to it. You can then send an email with that link to someone and once the note is read the note self-destructs. Get your own dose of Mission Impossible.
