Glitch

Today I am posting a YouTube video concerning the game Glitch. This is a game that is still in beta (entered beta recently) and is being developed. However, there are growing periods of time when the game is open to new users to join and play the game. I have been playing Glitch for some time and I find the game to be quite addictive. It is a complex game, yet quite simple to play – and it is a very social experience as you interact with other Glitchers. I’ll leave you with the video.

Memolane

Memolane has just recently opened its online doors to all. Memolane preserves your online memories in the form of a timeline by importing your activity on other social networks like Facebook and Twitter, and plotting them on a timeline. I have been using the service for some time and have to say that I’m really happy with what Memolane has come up with. I won’t try and describe the service any further, rather I will direct you to my Memolane page where you can observe Memolane is use.

Apsley River: Oxley Wild Rivers National Park

Apsley River and GorgeThe ‘silly season’ is pretty much over – at least for me anyhow. So now I’m back to Blogging again. I have no hope of catching up on the days I missed, so I’ll just start again from today.

This photo was taken next to Apsley Falls in the Oxley Wild Rivers Natonal Park, New South Wales, Australia. I visited here during my ‘Waterfalls Tour 2010,’ which was my recently completed holiday.

This photo is from the Gorge Rim Walk, which pretty much covers the area from the camping area at Apsley Falls to the actual lookout at Apsley Falls. This photo shows the Apsley River flowing wildly at the base of the Apsley River Gorge.

There had been a lot of rain in recent times and the river was quite swollen, in contrast to its usual flow. Unfortuately I was unable to take any photos from the Oxley Walk (the other side of the river), as the bridge that crossed the river upstream had been washed away.

A Lookout from the Past

I have recently begun to salvage some images from slides taken well into the past – from the family archives. These archives I have had for some time and now I have the technology to be able to bring these images back into the present. So for the next few days I plan to post a number of these photos from past slides taken by my grandfather many years ago.

Today’s image has me in the middle of the photo pointing to something that can be seen from the lookout. I’m not sure just what it is that I am pointing to – possibly towards my house. I’m fairly sure that the lookout is that of Mount Sugarloaf near Newcastle in New South Wales, Australia. On my left is my brother David and on my right is my cousin Michael.

Voices of Haiti: Don’t Forget the People of Haiti

Today’s post is a link to a web site that helps us remember the plight of the people of Haiti following the devastating earthquake that recently hit that nation. There is a photo posted every day:
