Playing Catch Up

As I mentioned in a recent post my bandwidth was shaped as I had exceeded my monthly allowance – which meant the Internet was pretty much unavailable for me over the last few days. I have just received my monthly ‘restart,’ so back online and posting in my Blogs. Of course, I’m now playing catch up with posts in my various Blogs, working through copious numbers of emails, etc. The dreaded catch up after being offline for a bit.

I will try and get back into the swing of things as quickly as possible.

Glitch

Today I am posting a YouTube video concerning the game Glitch. This is a game that is still in beta (entered beta recently) and is being developed. However, there are growing periods of time when the game is open to new users to join and play the game. I have been playing Glitch for some time and I find the game to be quite addictive. It is a complex game, yet quite simple to play – and it is a very social experience as you interact with other Glitchers. I’ll leave you with the video.

Browser-based Nation Simulation Game: Nation States

Nation States is another free browser-based nation simulation game I have been playing which is quite different to Cyber Nations. In Nation States you create your nation and decide in which region of the world it will be located. The nation is developed and advanced through answering a question or two each day, so it doesn’t take a lot of time to play. You are able to interact with other nations through various aspects of the game.

Browser-based Nation Simulation Game: Cyber Nations

Cyber Nations is another game I have been playing which is quite different to the previous three games. Cyber Nations is a free persistent browser-based nation simulation game in which you create a nation and rule over it. You decide how the country will be governed and develop its technology, infrastructure, military, taxation, improvements and more. You can also decide if you will engage in warfare with other countries within the Cyber Nation online world and how you will go about it. This game doesn’t take a lot of time each day, but it can be quite interesting to get into.

The Windies

I have always loved cricket and the team I’ve supported for many years is the West Indies. Sure, they aren’t what they used to be – but I’m a loyal West Indian cricket team fan. Yes, I am Australian – but I have always loved the Windies way of playing cricket – think Viv Richards, Brian Lara, Malcolm Marshall and Curtly Ambrose – my kind of cricket.

My Internet Radio Station at Blip.fm

I now have an Internet Radio Station at Blip.fm. Anyone can listen to the music by going to my Blip.fm site at:

http://blip.fm/DJ_ParticularKev

While not a radio station in the sense of what you get on the radio, the radio station that I have begun have a play list that will grow over time, playing songs from the 1980s through to today. There may be an odd song from out of that time period, but that would be the general time frame.

What sort of music? Well, there won’t be anything too heavy there, so I suppose the music could be described as easy listening pop/rock.

I have only just started at Blip.fm, but there is some music there already and it will steadily grow. You’ll soon get a feel for the sort of music I like.
