Spotify

  1. Now that Spotify has arrived in Australia, it is time to put together something on this music site, which is really something of a music social network/web application with a software component. It is a streaming music application, with an offline feature. It can be free service with advertising or can be a paid subscription service without advertising. One thing is for sure, with Spotify it is unlikely you will need to buy music ever again – well you may want to occasionally as there are some music artists out there that haven’t got on board with Spotify, though most have.

In this story you will find articles on Spotify and how to sign up, as well as the usual tutorial type articles and videos.

  2. Have you signed up to Spotify yet? If so, what do you think of the service? I think it is fantastic and look forward to many months and years of relatively free music via the premium service that I use.

My Internet Radio Station at Blip.fm

I now have an Internet Radio Station at Blip.fm. Anyone can listen to the music by going to my Blip.fm site at:

http://blip.fm/DJ_ParticularKev

While not a radio station in the sense of what you get on the radio, the radio station that I have begun have a play list that will grow over time, playing songs from the 1980s through to today. There may be an odd song from out of that time period, but that would be the general time frame.

What sort of music? Well, there won’t be anything too heavy there, so I suppose the music could be described as easy listening pop/rock.

I have only just started at Blip.fm, but there is some music there already and it will steadily grow. You’ll soon get a feel for the sort of music I like.
