Capsule

I have been having some problems with Internet connectivity over the last few days, so my attempts to return to daily posts are suffering a few setbacks at the moment. Hopefully this will all be sorted soon.

Today’s post is a link to a new social network called ‘Capsule.’ It is a place for setting up a private place for event planning and groups. I have started to use the site and will see how it goes over the longer term, but at the outset it seems to be a very useful private social network type site for small groups and the like. It is in beta development and you need to request an invite to be able to join.

Glitch

Today I am posting a YouTube video concerning the game Glitch. This is a game that is still in beta (entered beta recently) and is being developed. However, there are growing periods of time when the game is open to new users to join and play the game. I have been playing Glitch for some time and I find the game to be quite addictive. It is a complex game, yet quite simple to play – and it is a very social experience as you interact with other Glitchers. I’ll leave you with the video.

Pip.io

Pip.io is an online way of having conversations with family and friends in chat format. Discussions can be either private or public. It is a very useful site which I use with some of my websites. You can join discussions or start your own channels – for free.

Save the Words

Save the Words is an interesting little site set up by the Oxford Dictionary. It is all about saving words that are no longer used much these days by encouraging members of the site to use them each day. Worth a look – and join as I have to save the English language. The site has a lot more potential and it will be interesting to see if it is developed any further.

flickchart

If you like watching movies (and there are few people that don’t), perhaps you would be interested in a site that ranks movies that you watch according to ratings that you determine. If you are, perhaps flickchart is a social networking type site that you may like to join. Visit flickchart at:
