I have just one more week until I’m on annual leave again (for two weeks). I am so looking forward to it and will use the time as wisely as I can – especially to rest, ensure correct sleep patterns, etc. I am so tired at the moment and need to discipline myself to ensure I have adequate sleep. I must tell myself, ‘sleep is my friend and is not a waste of time.’

Missing You Greatly
It was two years ago today that my dear friend Rebecca died, far too young. This photo is of a special day we spent together in the Barrington Tops National Park (Gloucester Tops). I will always remember it, as I will always remember Rebecca. Thinking of you today and missing you all the more. I miss you Bec.
Undoubtedly the majority of people who come across this posting will already be users of Facebook or at least have heard of Facebook. So why do I want to post a link to Facebook as today’s URL? That’s a very good question and I have a simple answer to it.
Over the years friends have come and friends have gone. In the time since I started to use Facebook, I have been able to re-establish contact with so many people that have been my friends over the years. Today, I have been able to reconnect with another friend from the past – so, this is the reason for posting Facebook as today’s URL. It is a great tool for maintaining friendships and for re-establishing friendships from the past.
A Friend’s Documentary
I have a friend who is interested in film making. The link below will take you to the video of her first documentary entitled ‘On the Banks of the Snowy River.’ It is a hypothetical reflection on what might have been, should the national capital of Australia have been located elsewhere.
MY DEAR FRIEND – I MISS YOU GREATLY
Â
I have missed a day’s photo along the way somewhere and so I have been posting for the day before for a couple of days now. So for today only I intend to post two photos, one for yesterday and one for today – but not only for that reason.
The other reason I want to post two photos today is because two people I have counted as important to me have died in the past two years and today I visited the grave/memorial of each of them.
The first memorial I visited was that of my dearest and most important friend, Rebecca. My dear friend – I miss you greatly. It was a hard, hard thing to do today – to visit your memorial at Beresfield. I felt I was unable to say goodbye today and will need to visit again soon. The memorial park was packed with people because it was ‘Father’s Day’ here in Australia and I just found it too difficult to do with so many people about. I will come again soon, but I will also visit often.
I have never forgotten you and I never will. I remain forever your friend and I hold you dearly in my heart. I miss you so much and wish you were still here.
I also visited the grave of another good friend’s sister, someone who I regarded as a good friend in the past and someone I have always held dear – my friend Heidi.
